God is Able! Daniel in the Lions Den

Daniel 6:1-28 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage. Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever. All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

For The Love Of Graduation

Graduating can be hard and super complicated because of the transtions between beginning and new beginning. I am so coming to the realization that reality has been here the whole time. I personally just choose to ignore it because I'm in this cycle of life where only certain things change.
I would like to say that I love the idea of graduation but it isn't a perfect world nor am I perfect. The situation is as complicated as life and death. Who would want one without the other?
You don't but you do.
You do but you don't.
You're scared but you're not.
You're nervous but excited.
Its such a challenging test!

Death To The Organization Who I Pity

Ever been a part of an organization that just makes you happy when you first begin? You enjoy what you are doing, you enjoy spending time with the people around you until.....
You get to know the organization and the ins and outs of their routines. That is obviously the light bulb that begins your thought process... Do I really want to be here? Do I feel like this would a place for success?
In other words you begin to evaluate you experience and begin planning change. Not change for yourself but change for your organization. In the word Organization you see Organ. An Organ of a body is a positive thing and it helps your body become functional, without all of your organs what does your body do? Feed off some other organ that may or may not fail from all the stress.
My organization has forced our service group to be on life support and we are all holding each other hands in this bizzard we call success. I refuse to let go of them and they refuse to let go of me... plus we alllllll need our life support! We fight day in and day out!
But this week we were told that we have four days to live....
Stay tuned to see if we flatline!

"3 Freakin' Days Ago: Continues"

"I STILL HATE SESAME STREET!"

Sesame Street! This annoying company has created a program that helps benefits children and their well being. Well so be it, Children have been guided by the world of cartoons and furry hand puppets.
Elmo and First Lady Obama (a prime representer for obesity) has teamed together in an episode of Sesame Street in where she helps the team understand health and wellness. Great use of media but what a way to manipulate children into getting them to do whatever you want them to.
Many may say it is a two way street (positive and negitive) but if it gets the job done.... it is okay right?
But honestly I truly, truly, truly hate that show. Maybe because when I was younger they annoyed the hell out of me but I must say I am down with it if they are helping the kids of today.
Sesame street has been a major part of childrens lives for years and many years to come. Every since 2004, this overly sponsored company has been supporting health and welling by implementing The Healthy Habits for Life program. This program helped intergrate healthy food choices and exercise into the show in order to influence children into becoming more active.

"Challenged Children: Unsecured Positions"

Lately I have been wondering, Should children who are unsecured help others who are unsecured while they are still unsecured? For example, should a child or homeless family living in a stable living facility help someone else who is not in a living facility? Basically my main question is should they know the art of charity even though they are not in the best conditions?
Well, I would like to know what you think personally...So leave a comment if you feel motivated. :-)

"Leitner Supports Well-being With Just $2"

Julien Leitner says, "You can move the earth for $2!"
Julien Leitner, 13, is much like Birke Baehr. He is an activist for health and well-being. He makes it his business to make sure everyone is aware of his abilities to support other people besides himself. Leitner is a grab life by the horns type of child. In his YouTube video he stresses that life is not about a bag of chips or a childhood toy from the nearest Dollar General but about helping and saving others. He uses the internet his main source of Communication to influence others to become more active in being charitable. His organization Archimedes Alliance is an organization that promotes philanthropy ( "the love of humanity") on the broadest possible scale by providing a vehicle through which a large number of people of ordinary means can collaborate to make a significant positive impact on the lives of others according to their mission statement.

This is a video of his growth and his personal feelings about Charity and his own connection with charity. Note: The official video is on the website above just click on the link.
Leitner is another child that has me on my toes. Where do they find these kids? In his video it makes it extremely clear that the lack of collaboration from society and helping others is not acceptable to him. In many ways his video seems more to be temper-tantrum and a cry out for help. I honestly do not think that this is for attention to himself but it is a call out to get society's attention. I felt he was thinking maybe if I take a stance in this certain way (more justified tone of a child) then people may take me more serious. But the idea is not to focus on the action of the child, even though we cannot help it, it is to help us to become aware that the little  money that we waste at a snack vending machine can actually hinder the possibilities of helping someone else.
There are many days where I sit and think why my account looks the way it does and I ask myself have I used 90% of it wisely. The answer is sure I have I mean it was on me but we almost never think to think outside of the box and break the routine. Groceries, Gas, Fastfood, Cellphone, Charity! We think church maybe (for those who attend). But how much of that is truly relevant to our ability to help others? Money is just one way. Why do we never go out on that rest day and get together to read to sick children or go out to a Heartwalk that an organization did not force you into? We look over these types of things because they are not that common to us even though we know  they exist.
Leitner makes that clear in his mission and his whole idea of Archimedes Alliance. Working together with organizations to promote the well-being of others besides ourselves.
Leitner’s goal is 2 million dollars as of yesterday his total was $13,379 but today it has grown to $13,532. Lets help him meet his goal.

Remember to ENCOURAGE yourself to be Charitable not only by money but by works!

"Birke's Prosocial Behavior Ignored?"

In my recent efforts to research children and health I have come across this young man named Birke Baehr a Ted Talk child who spoke about where our food comes from and how it affects our health and daily living. As a young adult, hearing this young child speaking so profoundly and from the inside of this heart moved me. I think that it would move you as well. This young boy isn’t just passionate about knowing what to eat and what not to eat he is exceptionally proud of himself and what he can do for others in providing such information.

CHECK HIM OUT!

After listening to him how did you feel? I felt so moved it made me ALMOST made me want to stop eating certain foods but one thing I could say about this young man is that I guarantee that he will start a movement. Yes, the video is dated back to August 2010 but not that many people have even watched this video just 743,993 people. Why is it that we as people have a tendency to search the internet for funny videos, recent arrests, clothes, shoes, and recent baby pictures but we cannot search or even watch a video of a person who is making a difference? I find it almost a shame that someone could watch a video over and over again of a fully grown adult fall through a glass table or a teenager fall through a trampoline (whom has received a million hits) but has not watched a child who is passionate about his health, his life, his wellbeing and how he wants other children to make that change as well. Interesting!

But that does not make me perfect either. I understand where he is coming from but that does not mean that I have to necessarily change my total eating habits. His sole purpose in this video is not to make you turn completely vegan or vegetarian or make you go completely organic but he did this Ted Talk to basically make you very aware of what is happening to us. To tell us what is going on that we as “health experts” do not know and are explaining to us how we can change if we really want to.

As he said in the beginning of the video children are being the advocates for health and I say it can be good or bad; it is all about money, the way the world rotates.
